"Always reach for the moon, for even if you should fall short, you will land among the stars."

This page is dedicated to people who adore the moon.

While alternate uses of the word are also available in the English language, typically, when someone speaks of the moon images of a white spherical shape in the night sky is called to mind.

Phases of the celestial moon are: full moon, gibbous, first quarter, waning crescent, new moon, waxing crescent, last quarter, gibbous, and full moon again.

An eclipse of the moon, also called a lunar eclipse, occurs when the earth moves directly in between the sun and the moon where the earth casts a shadow on the moon.

Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the moon

In addition to this, I would like to provide a list of other moon based terms one is may or may not encounter during conversation in this day and age. Though some of the terms may be a bit obsolete or not as favorable as other variations of the same word, in my search to find information on the magnificent moon, I found them to be quite interesting.
